Where: River Bend Park, 799 SW Columbia St, Bend, OR 97702

What: During our 17th annual Spring Paddlefest Weekend, Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe will be offering two-hour intro to kayak, standup paddleboard and canoe clinics. Kayak clinics begin at 10am and 1pm on Friday and Sunday. Standup paddleboard clinics will begin at 2pm both days, and NEW THIS YEAR canoe clinics will begin at 4pm both days. These sell out fast so save your spot by booking online now!

Beginning with a relaxing introduction where participants will learn about river dynamics, appropriate gear and favorite paddling destinations, the class will then launch their vessels of choice into the Deschutes. Clinic content will have participants effectively navigating boats or boards by using a variety of basic strokes and paddle techniques in a very short time. By the end of the lesson, paddlers will develop the techniques and confidence to enjoy Central Oregon’s waterways on their own.

On Saturday, we encourage paddlers to join us at Riverbend Park for the boat demo portion of the weekend.

Lastly, Tumalo Creek’s Bend shop location, in the Old Mill on the Deschutes River across from the Whitewater Park a short distance from Riverbend will have a store wide RETAIL SALE May 6-7th.

Because some of the best scenery in Central Oregon is only accessible by water, paddle sports are the perfect summer compliment to a four season outdoor enthusiast. You have always wanted to, now is your chance to try paddling.
