The Horse Butte 10 miler is the race that has become a classic early season event here in Bend Oregon. The Race kicks off the trail race season here in Central Oregon. Horse Butte 10 miler has a field limit of 200 runners which has kept its small race feel intact as it has gained popularity. The course, not so spring like weather, and post race Oregon Country Beef hot dog barbecue have become synonymous with spring trail running in Bend. CLICK HERE for more info.

Half Marathon, 10K, 5K or Little Fry Children’s Races
Experience the awesomeness of the salmon migration by completing your own Salmon Run! Begin and end your adventure along the Deschutes River and imagine what a river journey could be like for the mighty salmon. The backdrop couldn’t be more beautiful than the Deschutes River corridor in beautiful Bend, Oregon. With distances from the 5k to the half-marathon, there is a perfect course length for everyone. Kids get in the action, too with the Little Fry Run! They can join in the fun from 12pm – 1pm at the race start/finish area.
April 22, 2018 (Sunday)
We have a distance for everyone. Choose from 26.2, 13.1, 10k, or the Family 5k (kids 12 and under run for FREE)!
We are still starting and finishing next to iconic Drake Park in Gorgeous downtown Bend, but the newly designed full and half marathon distances will take advantage of a brand new paved trail through the Deschutes National Forest (paralleling the Cascade Lakes Highway). Also, our on course nutrition provider, Skout Backcountry, will be hosting a bigger, better finish party that will include more local, regional, and national vendors, music, activities, and more. We encourage the whole family and the entire community to come enjoy the festivities. For more info, click here. See you in Bend, OR April 22nd, 2018!
