It’s Friday and a beautiful day in Bend!
There is still some lingering smoke in the air from the prescribed burn yesterday in the Phil’s Trail Mountain Bike area…allergy sufferers beware! Hopefully it will clear out soon.
The Happy Girl’s Run is tomorrow at Riverbend Park. The run features a half marathon, 10k, 5K, and a Happy Little Kids Run. The run is sponsored by Hayden Homes and benefits “Girls on the Run”. After the event, the Riverhouse is hosting Bend Women’s Weekend. This two day event has vendors, seminars, presentations, food, and more.
Beer Week continues with events today at RiverBend Brewing, High Desert Museum – with a Brewing Culture Exhibit, Three Creeks Brewery, Broken Top Bottle Shop, and Silver Moon Brewing with live music. Go to centraloregonbeerweek.com for more info.
“Happiness Sprinkling” Now here’s an event you shouldn’t miss! KTVZ Chief Meteorologist, Bob Shaw, is hosting this event today from 3:30-5:45pm at The Lotus Building – 300 SE Reed Market Road. It’s a national movement of people wearing yellow shirts and holding signs of encouragement like, “you are delightful!” Hey, we all need a little encouragement now and then…Go Bob!
The restaurant, Dojo – formerly Boken – is now “Cobalt”. Located at the end of the alley at the Mirror Pond Plaza, it features hip drinks and elegant food. A varied menu with sumptuous small plates and not overpriced, in my opinion…Same outdoor patio with firepit – love that firepit!
I went to the Dogwood Cafe last night for a “girls night out” happy hour with some friends and had their amazing bbq beef tacos! Wrapped in a type of crepe, these were so good! $10 for three tacos, which filled me up. I also had a beet-infused drink that was also amazing – I actually felt like I was drinking something healthy! It was my first time there and I’ll be back.
