Welcome to those visiting Bend on this holiday weekend!
The Central Oregon Saturday Market (it’s also on Sunday, but they call it the Saturday Market…?!) is from 10am-4pm downtown – across from the Public Library. This is a great little market with over 100 vendors and many are local artists, crafters, and food vendors. Free.
It’s day 2 of the Annual Beer Week. Today’s beer events are at Riverbend Brewing Company (on Division), Crow’s Feet Commons (Downtown), Primal Cuts (north Hwy 97 by Lowe’s), and Broken Top Bottle Shop (off Newport Ave, just past the Chevron Station). Go to centraloregonbeerweek.com for more info.
First Annual Wellness Faire with over 30 local health practitioners and wellness enthusiasts happens today from 11-6 at Salud Raw Food Cafe (431 NW Franklin Ave, Ste 150). There will also be live music from our local Mark Ransom and the Mostest, and members of the Moon Mountain Ramblers; and aerial silk performers!
Ryan Adams (Grammy-nominated singer songwriter) and Jenny Lewis are at the Les Schwab Amphitheater tonight at 7:30pm.
I think we might see the sun a little today with highs in the mid-60’s. Another great day to be outside…take a walk along the river at Farewell Bend Park or Drake Park; walk or run the Deschutes River Trail; or head out to Shevlin Park. The mountain bike trails are still pretty muddy with large puddles…might want to avoid those until maybe Monday. Enjoy your day!
