Today is Memorial Day. A Memorial Day ceremony is scheduled from 1pm-2pm today at the Deschutes Memorial Chapel and Gardens on North Hwy 97 today. There will be a WW2 veteran speaking.

“Not Just a Number” at Troy Field today with Tracy Miller hosting a day-long name reading of soldiers who were killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. NW Bond Street at Louisiana Avenue. Free.

Another beautiful sunny day here in Bend with highs expected in the low 70’s. We were out on the river in the Old Mill yesterday on kayaks and the river was packed with stand-up paddle boarders, kayakers, and floaters. The outdoor seating at the various restaurants was full of people. I expect another day like yesterday, but maybe a bit less people as visitors make their way back home today. We are tempted to go mountain biking today, hopefully the trails have dried out since Friday…
